Batter up!

Mukilteo’s waterfront is like a magnet at the end of the school year when students, teachers and chaperones from all over Snohomish County converge for a day of exploration and play. On Thursday, May 21, a Granite Falls School District contingent arrived, including Mason Weekly, above. Mason, 6, is a baseball enthusiast. Give him a stick and a beach overloaded with stones, and he’s going to practice his swings every time. Coincidentally, when the school year ends on June 15, Mason and his family are moving to Mukilteo where batting practice no doubt will continue.
