The best of MukFest

Parade watchers of a certain age thrilled when this vintage Chevy BelAir rolled down Lincoln Avenue Saturday during the “Heart of Mukilteo” parade, part of the three-day Lighthouse Festival that drew thousands to the waterfront. Driven by Vietnam veteran Stanford Pauley with Pamela Pauley, it brought up memories of the advantages of bench seats at the drive-in and other youthful indiscretions. The parade entry by the U.S. Army Retired & NW Chapter of the Army also won the judges’ “We Care About Mukilteo Award,” which was for a non-profit and/or community organization whose goal is to make Mukilteo a better place to live, work and play.
