Mathew David Bomengen of Edmonds passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at the age of 29. He is preceded in death by grandparents Barbara and Charles and Judith and Howard, and great grandmothers Roxy Thompson and Grace Baum.
He is survived by his parents Lori and Dave; sister Elisabeth; aunt Linda; uncles Matt (Cindy), and Brian (Maggie); cousins Kelly (Andrew), Kristen, Lauren (Tyler), Tim (Jasmin), Steven, Jack, Annie, Anthony, and Sean; great aunt Val (Joan); great uncles Steve (Lynne), Ron (Sue), and David (Judy); many second cousins and other family members; and his best friends, Tyler and Natalie.
Mat was a kind soul with a tender heart and was very loved by his family and friends, near and far. He will be incredibly missed. Mat enjoyed gaming, reading books, camping with his family at Neah Bay, playing cribbage, digging holes, ice cold Coca-Cola, and the Old Country Buffet.
Mat was a hard worker and was very appreciated by his employers. He loved his family, his friends, and his cats.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 31, at 3 p.m. at the Edmonds Waterfront Center, 220 Railroad Ave., Edmonds. All who knew Mat are welcome.
